Corp Surgery

Yesterday Corp had surgery. He had his eye fixed, which could happen again. He had his belly fixed. So now I have to carry him down the couple steps to go potty and no running, jumping no walks for 14 days!! It's hard but I have to pretty much keep him in his crate. He wants so badly to run around - once his pain pills kick in. And he got fixed so no little Corps in the future. When he can start running around again I will take some pictures of him. I've got to take him for weekly check ups to make sure everything is healing correctly.

Farmer's Market

We went to the Farmer's Market today.
I loved it. I plan on going weekly. The prices are so much better than the grocery store and the produce are beyond yummy.
We picked up some plants to put in our raised bed. So far we now have 5 tomato plants, 6 lettuce, 4 marygolds (to keep the bugs away) and Austin got 3 hot pepper plants. I plant to pick up some more next week. I also bought a beautiful flowering vine to add to the backyard.
Slowly we are changing our small backyard. I'll post pictures soon.

Austin

Austin is so excited about learning to drive. Not yet! I have a couple more months. Am I ready for this?? Austin is getting taller and taller daily.
Here is another shot from yesterday.

Spring Break

Austin is on his Spring break from school. I had one of those moments this week when I was talking to him I noticed he looks older again. I'm excited to see more and more Austin the man but part of me really misses the little boy he was.
Yes those are my feet. I don't know why I didn't notice them in the shot. Austin looks more and more like my Dad, brother and myself. When I pull out pictures of myself at his age it's amazing how much we look alike!!

Corp Update

Our sweet dog is going to have surgery on Monday. He now has a cherry eye. He is going to have that fixed, his belly button fixed and he is getting fixed. Poor little guy is going to have a hard week next week.

Birthday!

Sunday was not only a day to celebrate Christ’s resurrection but also my birthday!! I was born on my Dad’s birthday many many years ago. I hope one day to celebrate with him our birthday. The day after I turned 10 my brother was born. I would love to get all of my dad’s kids together and celebrate our birthdays. I don’t know if that will ever happen but it’s one of my wishes. I’m excited to see how God blesses me this year.

A shot of some more yummy cupcakes

Yard Work

We got dirt for the raised garden. We had some extra so Matt and the little boys filled in our bare spots in the front and reseeded again.
Beau - he was watching Daddy fill in the raised bed.

Liam trying out the moon shoes for the first time. He calls them jumping shoes.

Watering & Brick Artist

Austin is watering the grass seed I put down this last week. Hopefully it didn't all blow away with all the wind we have had the last couple days.
My funny faced step artists. Yes they were coloring the brinks on the steps.

Front Porch Easter

This is my new bunny for this Easter!! I love that it's a rocking bunny!

You can see my other bunny on the far left. I forgot to push him closer to the pot before I took the shot. I love my strawberry plants. We have several green strawberries!

64 degrees

When did 64 degrees become warm?
Last night I stayed up with Corp. He is still potty training. I took him out for the last time at 2am. The wind cut right threw me while I was outside with Corp. When I came back in I thought it's so nice and warm inside. I walked by the thermostat, it said 64 degrees. When did 64 degrees become warm to me?

Handsome's Burgers!!

Handsome grilled dinner. The burgers were sooo good. Here is a picture of one of the yummy burgers. Yes it has grilled onion on it! Super yummy!!

Raised Garden!

I'm soo thankful and excited!!
This week I'll get the dirt and plants!
Handsome building it.

Austin and Handsome working on it.

Fresh veggies are coming soon!

Sleeping Dog

I woke him as I took this picture - I used the night flash trying not to wake him.
I think it looks like he is smiling when he sleeps like this.

sick

The family has been passing around a cold for the last 2 weeks. I thought I had avoided getting it. WRONG! I'm sick. My head is pounding and ears hurt. I can barely hear. I'm trying to continue to clean and keep things going but all I want to do is crawl in bed. Thankfully Handsome is making dinner tonight. I only have to do a side dish. I think a quick salad will work perfectly.

Grass

Today I over seeded the front and side yard. I put four times the amount down that was required for that space. The wind was crazy today so it took me longer than I thought it would. Now to keep people off that area for 10 days to 2 weeks. Then I'll do the backyard. I'm looking forward to soft grass to play on with the kids. I think the bushes in the back are starting to grow. Wahoo!!!
